Crimson Moon Known Issues: Hotfix 1.0.1 Status

crimson moon known issuesDirect answer: Hotfix 1.0.1 is still described as being prepared; full patch notes have not been published. The current released PC update is Patch 1.0.0.1 for Alpha keyboard-and-mouse remapping, while the official open list still includes save-loss, co-op, crash, UI, and boss issues.

Status checked September 8, 2026. Because this is a live tracker, every fix claim must be rechecked against a dated patch announcement before treating an issue as resolved.

Current Crimson Moon known issues

The official launch issue list groups acknowledged problems across stability, multiplayer, saves, UI, and bosses. The table below condenses that list without adding community reports or treating repeated reports as independent confirmation.

An acknowledged problem is not automatically present for every player or platform. It means the development team has identified the issue and is working on it.

AreaOfficially acknowledged problems
StabilityCombat and gameplay crashes, ray-tracing crashes, a Ramshorn Keep host crash, and Epic Games Store shader stutter
Co-opFalse player-left messages, Moore Manor freezes or disconnects, invite joins stuck on the title screen, and host mission progress not awarded
SavesSteam-to-Steam Deck sync failures and save data loss while updating the game
UI and HUDDuplicate boss bars, decimal XP, repeated notifications, Mission Failed screen problems, and oversized loot interaction areas
BossesFelwyl death sequence skips and an extra Tyrigon health bar

Hotfix 1.0.1 status

The support page says Hotfix 1.0.1 is being prepared and is planned to address the listed problems together with additional stability, UI, audio, and localization fixes. It also says full patch notes will be shared when the update is ready to go live.

No full Hotfix 1.0.1 notes are available in the checked official announcements, so the page does not mark any launch-list issue as fixed by that hotfix.

What Patch 1.0.0.1 actually changed

Patch 1.0.0.1 is a separate, already released PC update, version 162350. It adds an Alpha implementation of keyboard-and-mouse remapping and mouse sensitivity controls.

The announcement mentions camera improvements, progression loss, UI scaling, crashes, and additional controller layouts as work still underway. Do not use the 1.0.0.1 label as evidence that those other problems are resolved.

Save and progression risks

The current list acknowledges that saves may fail to sync between Steam and Steam Deck on the same account. It also identifies a high-priority issue that can cause existing save data to be lost when updating the game.

Co-op mission progress may fail to award correctly to the host. These are distinct from the intended run reset: a new run starts with a new loadout and zero Souls, while purified equipment and permanent upgrades are expected to remain.

Co-op, crashes, and UI symptoms

Co-op symptoms include an incorrect player-left message, Moore Manor freezes or disconnects, a joining player stuck on the title screen after accepting an invitation, and host mission progress not being awarded. Stability reports include combat or gameplay crashes, ray-tracing cases, a host crash in the second Ramshorn Keep arena, and shader stutter on the Epic Games Store version.

The UI list includes repeated HUD notifications, duplicate boss bars, decimal XP, Mission Failed screen problems, some Friends List problems on PS5 and Epic Games Store, and a loot interaction area larger than intended.

Do not confuse intended systems with bugs

A purified high-rarity item permanently unlocking at Common quality is intended. The Loadout Station also remains unavailable when you return to Sanctus Clypeus between missions because the same run is still active.

Use the dated official issue list for bug status and the gear or run rules for intended behavior. If an issue is absent from a patch note, do not assume it was silently fixed.

How to report and recheck an issue

The developer directs technical reports to its Support channel and continues monitoring Discord and the Steam forums. Include the platform, game version, exact location, whether the session was solo or co-op, and the steps that reproduce the problem.

After any update, compare the new patch notes with this page’s check date. A community workaround may help an individual player, but it should not be treated as an official fix until a current announcement confirms it.

Is gear returning as Common a bug?+

No by itself. Purification intentionally unlocks an item at Common quality.
